  Overall Survey and Evaluation Findings

Based on over 5,000 people contacted and over 300 surveys returned to the Home and Farm*A*Syst office in Washington, the following percentages have held true. Around 85% stated the program is highly educational. Around 75% stated the program helped them identify a high risk activity or practice. Over 75% indicated that they would make at least one change over the next 1 to 3 years to reduce a pollution risk. Tracking the participants of the program has been difficult and requires a local effort (local coordinator with volunteers) to collect data on whether planned changes were actually made.

It should be noted that these survey results are based on a number of delivery strategies, degree of contact, and version of the program utilized. It was found that surveys results were similar for both generic versions and more technical versions.
