  About Home and Farm*A*Syst Programs
Every home or farm in a watershed has potential pollution sources that can affect the health of families, communities, and water resources. By identifying what our impacts are on water quality and understanding how they can be reduced or eliminated, we can better protect our family's health and the health of the watershed in which we live.

Home and Farm*A*Syst programs provide voluntary and confidential water quality/environmental risk assessments you can use to evaluate your home and/or farm property for pollution and health risks. Although its emphasis is on protecting drinking water resources, following the "best management practices," the program also helps protect the entire watershed's water quality.

This web site introduces you to the Home and Farm*A*Syst programs and provides a series of risk screening questions on a variety of pollution topics that can help you identify "areas of concern" on your property. It also offers links to other web sites that can give you more information on specific topics along with other important water quality links at both state and national levels.
